The U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO recently opened the school’s new multi-domain laboratory. Housed in Fairchild Hall, the lab is a 9.5-million-dollar facility consisting of two modular suites, with each suite housing a fully integrated Joint All-Domain Operations Center, Flight Bay, and remotely piloted aircraft control room.

According to the Academy, the lab will expand the capabilities and capacity of the Air Force, education and simulating operations by “integrating 24 flight simulators that can replicate any air, surface or sub-surface manned weapon system, 12 remotely piloted aircraft simulators, 12 intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance-electronic-warfare simulators, and over 40 operations command center work stations”.
